I have just received additional word from John hunter at the newly formed Outback Model Co. what the design of their first kit will be

Well I am happy to give the on30insider a exclusive and be the first to know, that the first kit release From OUTBACK MODEL COMPANY will be A medium sized line side or non line side structure called THUROGOODS FREIGHT AND STORAGE.

This structure is of medium size and will sit nicely on any O scale layout, the structure has great roof lines with a two story end to end loading dock, double doors and staircase.

The structure is board and batten with a shingled roof, one of the nice things about this kit is the option to construct the structure on the the wooden raised platform with ramps. We have designed a jig that will assist modelers in building the platform if they so wish to do so, the jig will be supplied in the kit and can be used for future projects. This structure has been designed by Laurie green and is very typical of Laurie’s style with a touch of my own style thrown into the mix, although I am unable to show any pics yet, the On30 Insider will be the first to receive any photos as they are available this kit.

No release date has been made for this kit to be available but anybody interested can show an expression of interest via our email outbackmodels@gmail.com

I strongly encourage everyone interested in this kit go over to the Outback Model Co. site and sign up in the members area. And let them know you are interested in their products. You also need to get on On30 insiders members list because there may be an exclusive offer from Outback Model Co. just for the members!! I can’t say anything more right now. So stay tuned!!
